Shine the Light Film Festival 2026 is a one-day celebration and a fundraiser for a film school in Colorado. This festival highlights faith, creativity, and community — all to benefit the non-profit ShineWorks Film School. Submit your feature films, short films, screenplays, and church announcement videos for the chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place awards in each category. Come shine your light, inspire others, and help raise up the next generation of filmmakers! ​

Awards & Prizes

Full Feature - $1,000 First Prize(any film produced within the last 5 years)
Short Film - $500 First Prize(any film produced within the last 5 years)
Script - $250 First Prize
Church Announcement/Bloopers - $100 First Prize
1st 2nd, and 3rd Prize Receive Laurels
Winners will be viewed on Christian Television Network

Rules & Terms

Content We Accept:
Family-friendly and inspirational stories.
Films with positive, redemptive, or thought-provoking themes.
Stories that highlight perseverance, courage, hope, justice, forgiveness, or community.
Church announcement videos (welcomes, event promos, sermon bloopers, etc.).
Original screenplays with uplifting, meaningful, or faith-friendly storytelling.
Films exploring social, cultural, or personal issues in a respectful and constructive way.
Both live-action and animated works are welcome.

Content We Do Not Accept
To maintain the spirit of Shine the Light, submissions may not include:
Pornography, sexually explicit content, or nudity.
Graphic violence or gore intended to shock rather than serve the story.
Hate speech, bigotry, or content that demeans any individual or group.
Occult, demonic, or exploitative horror themes.
Profanity or crude humor used excessively or without artistic purpose.
Copyrighted material without permission.

We Reserve the right to not screen or select any film or script based on our sole discretion.
